Bathing water quality
The sea is our most precious resource. Our beaches are loved by adults and children alike, a place where everyone can relax and play in complete safety, with the confidence that the excellent water quality has been awarded Blue Flag status.
Milano Marittima, Cervia, Pinarella and Tagliata: all four of our resorts received this important award for the first time in 1991 and again in 1996 and 1997. Since 1999, the Blue Flag, a symbol of excellence and healthiness, has flown over our beaches every year. This long unbroken run is a source of great pride for us.
The Blue Flag indicates that our beaches and sea are clean, healthy, safe, and peaceful places where you can spend the day or even your whole holiday relaxing and having fun.
You can expect to find suitable, comfortable equipment and services, especially for people with special needs. There are also several pet-friendly beaches, where you can bring your four-legged friend with you. And all of this on top of the warm, friendly welcome that you are guaranteed in Cervia.
To find out more about the current water quality, you can use the service provided by the local authorities who constantly monitor the water quality. The water is sampled regularly at specified points and the data are made available to the public.
